BIO
Arranger, Composer, Producer, Keyboardist and Organist. In one word, Musician.
My life is split between London and Milan, working as freelance.
I obtained in 2003 the Diploma in Organ and Composition at the Conservatorio di musica “S. Giacomantonio” in Cosenza (Italy) in the class of Federico Vallini. Then, in June 2013, I obtained the Master of Arts in Organ at the Haute école de musique in Geneva (Switzerland) in the class of Alessio Corti, also gaining the Prize “Pierre Segond”. In addition, my education includes masterclasses of internationally renowned organists, such as Lionel Rogg, Guy Bovet, Marie-Claire Alain and Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini. As a result of this intense training, I managed to win the 1st prize in the International Organ Competition in Wuppertal, Germany, in 2017.
I regularly perform as concert organist, as soloist, in orchestra or with choir. I played in venues like Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral in London, Philarmonie Essen (Germany), Cathedrals of Geneva, Luxembourg City, San Pietro in Vaticano. Currently I’m the organist of St Joseph’s Highgate church in London.
Furthermore, I work as arranger, arranging music pieces for string, wind or brass ensembles. I also enjoy transcribing for organ important orchestral works: among them, “Pictures at an Exhibition” by M. Mussorgsky, “Messa da Requiem” by G. Verdi and “The Planets” by G. Holst for organ 4 hands.
As composer, I wrote the music of the dark-comedy webseries Julia the series, and few videogames’ soundtracks. Now I’ve moved my focus to composition for orchestra. I’m currently working on a Mass for choir, organ and orchestra, to be performed soon at Basilica of Reggio Calabria.
In popular music area, I work as producer and keyboard player. Recently, I’ve produced, arranged and co-written the album Lo stupido che canta by Il dEli, songwriter based in London. Currently, I’m working with Francesco Covelli, songwriter based in Milan, to his new EP.
As keyboard player, my current projects are the original bands This Mighty Fever, rock-blues band, and Rianimazione Iconoclasta Occidentale, funk-rnb-fusion band. Previously, I’ve played in a lot of bands of different genres: among them, the tribute band to David Bowie Absolute Bowie; the tribute band to Bruce Springsteen The Boss UK, the pop band Sfere Cristalline Concentriche, the indie-rock band Audio Tips, the songwriter Carmine Torchia. Sfere Cristalline Concentriche won the “Sun ‘n’ Sound” competition in Milan in 2007; after that, the band opened Biagio Antonacci’s concert in Milan and recorded an ep with Peer Music label.
Finally, I’ve been crazy enough to study engineering too. I took the Bachelor’s degree in “Telecommunications Engineering”, in 2006 at University “Mediterranea” in Reggio Calabria. After that, I took the Master’s degree in “Engineering and Design of Sound”, in 2009 at “Politecnico” in Milan.
